Francis Planchamp
Accordion – Solfege
Francis Planchamp has a degree from the Centre Didactique de Musique Fernand Lacroix in Geneva. His main activity is teaching. He favours a progressive and personalised method of teaching.
In addition to instrument classes, Planchamp offers music theory courses that can be taken separately, or be integrated into the study of the instrument.
Planchamp teaches two types of accordion:
– the standard chromatic accordion, a traditional instrument used mainly for popular music
and the classical accordion played in conservatories, an instrument with a trigger that makes the accompaniment part (bass) into a keyboard similar to that of the melody. This system allows polyphonic playing while fully respecting the musical text, as does the piano or organ.
Depending on the development of students and their needs, Francis Planchamp offers the option of forming duos and practicing chamber music.
