‘I put together the notes that love each other’ Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Ensemble music, for existing groups or new ones.
Music, when it is lived out, finds its full development in musical sharing.
Since the creation of L’AMAmusique, ensemble music has been at the heart of the activities and exchanges that take place within the Association.
We have put into place
a wide range of proposals:
for workshops, day sessions (open to non-members of L’AMAmusique) and regular or occasional ensemble music classes.
You are alone, and want to play in a group?
In this case, contact us as early as possible in the school year. We may be able to help you find other musicians with whom you can play. We organise two meetings a year so that you can choose your teacher and form your own group.
Ensemble Music Courses à la carte
L’AMAmusique provides a context for existing chamber music ensembles. You have already put together your quartet, a consort of violins, a set of flutes, a piano quintet, a vocal quartet? We have teachers who are specialists in these kinds of repertories who can coach you with one or more courses. And you are the ones who choose your teacher.
Here’s another option for finding other musicians with whom to play: register with the Association Cambristi Lemani (as a member of L’AMAmusique you have a preferential rate of CHF 10.- for membership).
The Association Cambristi Lemani has a large database of chamber musicians living in the Lac Leman region. You can then set up your own group and join L’AMAmusique together as an existing group.
Registrations are taken all year long.
Chamber music is demanding but regularity gives beautiful results.
With regular and careful work we progress and then make beautiful music in concerts. We recommend our students plan and organise follow-up work (alone and together), outside of class, when they register for a regular course in chamber music.
Teachers usually recommend having a class every three weeks or so.
L’AMAmusique offers sets of 4, 6 or 8 courses (see prices below) and set may be renewed within the same year (using a new registration form).
The musical programme, as well as the date and hour of the classes, are determined together by the student and the teacher.
It’s not just chamber music that moves you but the orchestra, or perhaps singing in a choir, or playing in a flute, or cello ensemble? You have your ensemble set up but find that a few days of coaching per year would work well for you? Check out our proposals for “open workshops”.
As a member of L’AMAmusique you have access to all of the courses offered by the Association.
As a card-carrying member of L’AMAmusique you are entitled to special rates on most of the day sessions, workshops and master classes.
Last but not least, with L’AMAmusique membership you get a preferential rate for membership with “Cambristi Lemani”.
Through this platform you can contact other musicians, including professionals, to organise ensembles.
